Popped by The Burger Bar that had just opened a few months back, in Far East Plaza.
Tell me about being clueless.
I didn't know how to order and the staff had to guide me to the screens for that matter. anyways, the ordering process is easy to operate and you practically put together your own personalised burger!
From the patty to the buns, sauces, veggies, you can pick and choose to customise what you want to put into your mouth. it's clever like that. orders are clearer and service is more efficient. after all that pressing on the screen, just proceed for payment and then take a seat and wait for your food.
The interior of the shop was cute. i think everything on the walls were hand painted, okay maybe they had stencils but still, the pictures are cute. the lights were bright and perky, not glaring, it's a nice place to chill and eat some burgers and fries.
you can also help yourself to the sauces and bottles of vinegar placed on the counters.
MY ORDER SLIP:-
[cheeseburger]
honey oat bun
grilled chicken
Monterey jack cheese
shredded lettuce
pickles
smoked chipotle sauce
The waiting time wasn't short but not annoying exhausting. Anyway, it's understandable because there's only one man in the kitchen, cooking on the grill when I peeked in while making payment. don't judge, i'm just a curious kiddo.
looks great. the taste?
Love the meat, it's so juicy it flowed down my arm and dirtied the floor abit. (i'm sorry, guys at the burger bar!) it's thick and succulent and you can taste the freshness. the cheese was nice too, smooth and melty but not overpowering. i would have preferred more veggies though ): why no much veggies.
the sauce was okay, not very memorable, could have more of a punch. the bun is tanned haha. i think it's the ingredient they used that made the colour darker.
so here's the testament that the burger was really juicy, the liquids oozed out and penetrated the paper it was wrapped with. thinking back, i think i was much of a mess when i was consuming this burger. nahh not a pretty sight.
overall, do give it a try! i do think the meats are worth the while. drop by if you happen to be in town. aside from the buns being tanned, i honestly think it's not too bad. it's soft with a lot of air pockets within but i believe there're better buns out there, or maybe on the menu, those i didn't pick. I would prefer a sturdier bun, those springier and not so susceptible to be permeated by meat juices and sauce. you see, the honey oat bun became soaked when i was finishing this bun.
but not nasty. so visit them and try them for yourself (:
happy munching.
